Millie Moo’s was created from a very personal place — rooted in family, inclusion, and the belief that every child and parent deserves a space where they feel welcome. One of the main reasons we decided to open Millie Moo’s was the beautiful relationship between our two youngest children, Tyler and Millie. Ty had special needs, and having his little sister by his side supported his development in ways we could never have imagined. Watching their bond grow showed us just how important inclusive, nurturing environments are for children of all abilities

As a mum to a young child and a child with disabilities, I struggled to find somewhere fun and suitable for both Tyler and Millie. Outings became stressful, exhausting, and often not worth attempting at all. I missed spending time with friends, meeting new people, and simply having a moment to sit, breathe, and enjoy being out of the house. So, as the saying goes, “If I can’t find a way, I’ll make one.” I knew that if I was feeling this way, other parents would be too. That’s how the idea for Millie Moo’s was born — a space designed for real families, where children of all abilities can play together and parents can finally feel supported. Our journey later took a heartbreaking turn when our son Tyler sadly passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at just 14. Although he is no longer physically with us, he remains part of everything we do. Continuing Millie Moo’s is one way we honor him — ensuring his love of play, coffee and cake pops, his strength and spirit live on through the community we’ve built. Millie Moo’s is more than a play space. It’s a legacy of love, inclusion, and connection — for our children, our family, and every parent who walks through our doors.
